How to Relax
When you start to ski you have to learn to relax. Otherwise, if your body is tense it won’t listen to you. And you’ll end up most likely in the snow, upset and discouraged.
How to conquer my fears
I should leave my cozy soft spot more often and try new things even if they scare me. This way I will get stronger and start doing more things I wouldn’t have thought possible. And when it comes to skiing I must say I liked it a lot. I definitely want more.
How to enjoy myself more
I was pretty good at it. Who would have thought?! 🙂 Even though it was my first lesson, after just one descent, the coach let me by myself, but closely supervised. The hours flew like minutes. When it was all over I felt like the little kid mom used to call in the house, no more playing for you.
How to Carpe Diem
Living in the present moment is difficult to achieve. You have to work with yourself and be conscious of everything around you. I can’t say I practice this often.
While was skiing I experienced the present moment. I felt the wind on my face and the snowflakes touching my nose. I felt every sensation my body experienced as I was racing towards the end of the slope or as I was trying to slow down or avoid someone. Now, as I remember this, I can almost relive it, feel everything. It’s incredible!
I will try harder to be aware and Carpe Diem. It changes your perspective.
All in all, it was a great weekend!
