I’ve just read here, an article in which Sandra Bullock shares her tips on how to be awesome, in general. And I thought we all have our experiences, our knowledge accumulated up to this point in life and we have some tips of our own on how to be AWESOME. I agree with Sandra and I will add some of my own. So, here is my tips list:
If you forgot how to smile, no worries! Start now! Smile from the moment you wake up and try to smile as much as you can. You’ll see the results. Trust me!
You can never drink too much water. I always start my day with a glass of water with lemon and I try as much as possible to drink at least 2 l. Also it is said that you should drink your food and eat your water. I don’t always get it wright but practice makes perfect.
- Live in the present!
We always leave in the past and hope for the future but we almost never acknowledge the present moment. It’s not the worst thing you can do letting go of the past and start living in the present. This moment is all that we have. Carpe diem, baby!
Meditation helps you in every aspect of your life. But most of all it calms your mind and helps you with tip number 3. Makes you more aware of the present moment. You don’t have to do something special, just sit every day for at least 5 minutes, you and yourself, with no interactions and focus on your breathing and all your thoughts that come and go. Be focus!
- Be grateful!
Being grateful is a hard thing to do these days. We are so egocentric and focused on our problems and needs that we forget to be thankful. We assume that we deserve everything and we are dead wrong. Waking up in the morning it’s a gift, it’s not a given. The fact that we are healthy, that we have friends and families it’s priceless. We don’t realize how blessed we are until something wrong happens. So why don’t we start now when we have everything we want to be happy. Be grateful for everything you have and your point of view will change.
Be active as much as you can. Whether you go to the gym, run or go for a power walk in the park it doesn’t matter as long as you exercise. It’s great to be fit and in perfect shape. But to have a great body you have to work your butt off. So leave the laziness aside and start moving!
