It’s weekend, so we have no excuses to make a little time for ourselves to pamper a little bit more than usual. During the week maybe you don’t have enough time to take special care of your skin and you just clean remove the makeup and apply some cream on your face. It’s a good thing you do that but it’s not enough.
As we get older our skin needs more and more attention. With time skin deteriorates and loses its firmness. So we must invest more time and energy in taking care of our precious skin so can postpone as much as possible the inevitable signs of aging.
During the weekend I always try to choose a day in which I have some ME time. Today, my ritual went like this:
I scrubbed my skin from head to toe. I used rice flour for face because is gentler, I have very sensitive skin and gets reddish very quickly so I try to use soft products which don’t harass my skin. On the body I used corn flour. I’m a strong believer that what you can eat you can very well use it on your skin. SO I try as much as possible to follow this rule.
Then, I applied a mask. Oh… I’ve longed for a masked for quite some while. My skin definitely needed one. This time I made one with avocado, one of the healthiest foods on earth. Avocado is perfect for dry skin, which I have. It’s full with fatty acids, natural oils, antioxidants and phytochemicals. I also added one tablespoon of honey and one of pressed cold almond oil. I applied it on my face and neck and left it for around 20-25 minutes, until it really started to dry.
After that I massaged my face with grape seeds oil and my body with coconut oil. It felt so soft and gentle like a baby. I kept it simple and as natural as possible. How do you take care of your skin? What’s your favorite mask?
