Review: TonyMoly Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream SPF 30 PA++
Korean women are obsessed with perfect skin and exquisite complexion hence the innovative Korean skincare products. Korean beauty products are winning more and more ground in the US and European markets with their novelty and their fresh and appealing design. Let’s not forget that the trivial BB cream we all use appeared first in Asia and then become a worldwide phenomenon.
And in the end, who isn’t obsessed or at least preoccupied with having a nearly perfect skin? I know I am. So, I wanted to try some Korean beauty products. Some while ago I tried a cream mask from TonyMoly and you can find the review here. And now, I’m focusing my attention on a CC cream created also by TonyMoly, which I recently purchased, about a month ago and I want to share with you my opinion.
As you can see, this product has SPF 30 and PA++ which is a very good thing. We all know what SPF means, “Sun Protection Factor” which shows the effectiveness and the degree of protection against UVB. But what is PA++ ? I didn’t know so I google it. It seems that PA shows the protection efficacy against UVA. PA stands for “Protection Grade of UVA” and it goes hand in hand with SPF. The higher the SPF is the higher the PA should be. PA+++ is the highest protection against UVA. So this product has a good protection against the sun.
The packaging is easy to use and locks simple and chic. It’s all black and white and has a pump so no hygiene problems. But be careful how much product you use. I don’t need a full pump, just half.
The product description says something like this: sun screening, wrinkle repair, whiting, moisturizing, skin tone correcting, strong adhesion, color correcting, coverage for blemish, natural glossiness, water base 45%, 7 Free – parabene, benzo phenon, talc, mineral oil, organic pigment, sulfate surfactant.
Because I don’t have major issues with my skin like breakouts or major pore trouble I can say it feels and looks quite well on my skin. If you have an oily skin you might have a problem with it because it tends to get oily especially on the T zone. I have dry skin so it’s not a problem for me. It blends well and has a natural touch.
I would have wanted it to cover maybe a little bit more but I cannot say it’s really a problem. If you have some areas that you want to cover more, reapply some more and it will look better. But if you want a full coverage this CC cream isn’t for you. You should use a BB cream or a foundation. In the picture below you can see how it transforms on the skin.
In the wrinkle department I haven’t notice any changes. Although I wish I would, for the better, of course. But I can say is a good moisturizer, having in mind the fact that I have dry skin, it feels good on my face.
Overall, these, in my opinion, are the pros and cons of TonyMoly’s Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream:
– Good sun protection
– 7 Free – parabene, benzo phenon, talc, mineral oil, organic pigment, sulfate surfactant
– Evens out my skin tone
– It’s affordable
– It’s light on the skin
– It gives a nice glow
– Easy to put it on and go out
– Good moisturizer
– Has fragrance, a floral scent. I’m not a fan.
– Does not stay long on a hot day
– Feels a bit sticky after you put it on, but it goes away after a few minutes
Have you tried this CC cream? What do you think?
