Easy way to improve your health, body and mind
Every morning, with almost no exception I start my day following a few easy steps that, in my opinion, improve my life significantly. And I thought to share this with you, maybe you’ll get inspired.
This is the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning. I started this ritual half a year ago and I’m pretty satisfied with it. It doesn’t take long and on the long run it does wonders to your health.
The process is very simple. Using a tongue scraper you remove all of the bacteria, toxins and dead cells that accumulated on your tongue during the day and night and, if you don’t eliminate them you will introduce them again in your body.
By performing this Ayurvedic self-care ritual every morning you will improve your breath. If you already brush your tongue you should know that you don’t remove all the fungi and food debris. But by using a tongue scraper you will be amazed by the amount of junk that comes out of your tongue.
Also you will improve your taste; you will savor better all the food flavors. Also your immune system will receive a boost not to mention your dental health. By doing this ritual your general tooth and gum health will be improved.
After I scrape my tong I take a spoon of oil in my month and start to move that oil through my mouth for around 10 to 20 minutes and then you spit it and then you thoroughly rinse. This is another Ayurvedig process that helps your teeth to brighten and your gums to get pinker. You will notice from the first day you’ll to this that your teeth are much smoother. That everything is cleaner in your mouth.
You can use different types of oil like olive oil, coconut oil or almond oil. I use them all, not at the same time. I change the oil with a different one after a couple of months.
Glass of water
Following tongue scrapping and oil pulling is the glass of water on an empty stomach preferably with a lemon pinch. I already talked about it in a different post so I won’t insist on this.
My breakfast consist in a smoothie. In a blender I put different fruits, seeds and super foods and I get I yummy smoothie that gives me a lot of energy.
I end my morning ritual by going to the gym, although I don’t always get there. I should start to work out much more, if not every day at least 5 times per week. Now I just do it three times a week.
This is it, my morning ritual from top to bottom. What is yours? I’m very curious.
