The simple concept of fabric is just an illusion.
Mainly because designers tend to create and recreate all over again, from season to season, something beautiful from what ordinary people could see just a basic and simple piece of clothing. That is why creators are idealistic, sophisticated, uncommon and out of this world. Milan fashion week brought us glamour and some sort of “italian desingner’s attitude” we dont see often in the front row.
Common and uncommon times call for a truce
Salvatore Ferragamo stuck with the silky feminine dressestaht were flowing right below the knee and the chunky sandals had a symbol of richness and glory tah was the golden touch of the season. Everything looked touched by sun rays.
Marni’s inspiration for next spring is flower, but not flower power, more a flower savannah style combined with simple-white and layered dresses that were flowing with a cool attitude. The asymmetric skirts and kimono-style dresses are a great combo when in doubt of where you mind would like to travel .
So what if Milan fashion week was all about 1970 reinvented? Dolce and Gabbana tried to reintegrate the late 1500 in the new age era. Spanish Influences took place in the front row beginning with the toreador look, the red velvet lips and ending with beads flashing from every white, black and lacy shirt. D&G are a perfect example of what’s the pure art of creativity and italian craftsmanship.
Prada is going for a simple edgy look for next season of s/s 2015. Edgy in lines and edgy id colors. It’s all black and brown, boots and stockings and no matter the view it’s very dark. The only interpretation I see is that 1970’s were’t so dark and twisted and now it is the moment of turn.
At Armani house shades of grey and metallic blues are the solution. Spring calls for a little purpose. Of joy and curse. Of happiness and shame. Maybe it calls for technocolor too. Stylish designs are placed and nurtured with care for a summer fashion inspiration.
Gucci is all about the 70’s for 2015’s spring/summer. After a quick look of white dresses and at the symbol of the house stated on the bags and scarves, it comes the pop up of color: the red foxy/trashy dress that appeals to me is a sure hit. All you need is some confidence. The fashion industry has it going .
Versace’s space odissey came to the finale frontier in this great collection. All I saw was the future. No Medusa motif. Designer clothes with neon lights and neon colors, great composition, slate cuts and edgy black latex dresses. The visual concept is great, fun and young. Loved the whole collection.
