Tulips make me happy and I want to share this happiness with you.
I can’t explain why but I’m in love with tulips. Every time I see one even if I’m sad or my mind wonders off, I blossom, my spirit changes and I start smiling immediately. Tulips have a way of being, they are so gentle and delicate and those myriads of colors are to die for.
Spring for me means, first and foremost: TULIPS! Every week I go to the farmers market and buy myself a big colorful bouquet of tulips, of course. I like my house to be full of these beautiful, amazing flowers that make my day so much brighter and joyful.
Tulips are originally from Persia and Turkey, and were brought to Europe in the 16th century. Their name comes from the flower’s resemblance to a turban. If you go to Amsterdam you can even visit The Tulip Museum where you can find out its entire history. There I bought for myself some tulip shape earrings which I love. If you really like tulips you should definitely go to Holland, land of tulips.
Tulips symbolize fame and perfect love. They also mean eternal life, new beginnings and are heralds of spring. The symbolic meanings also change with the color of the tulips.
Now let’s just take a glimpse at these beautiful flowers and rejoice ourselves. Which flowers brighten your day?
Happy spring, everyone!
