During winter my skin gets very dry. And not just my face, my entire skin becomes very sensitive, dehydrated and needs special attention. So I decided to nourish my skin with a special product which is not made in commerce but by my own to hands.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of recipes of home-made, handmade body butters all over the internet but this one is very special because it’s made by me. And it’s very important coming from me, because I’m a person who likes her comfort zone. But, what don’t I do for my precious skin.
So ladies let’s get started. It’s a simple and easy recipe. All you need is:
– a cup of Shea butter
– ½ cup of coconut oil (My favorite, it smells divine!)
– ½ cup almonds oil
– Optional, you can use essential oil, the kind you like
After you acquire all ingredients, it’s time to get our hands dirty. First, you melt the Shea butter and the coconut oil. Stir over low heat until they melt. Then remove from heat and let it cool for about 30 minutes. After that add the almond oil and your favorite essential oil, give it a good stir to blend well and let it cool in the refrigerator. Before starting to harden use a mixer to blend it all well until it becomes fluffy.
And voila! Your own home-made body butter. Put it in a glass recipient and keep it in the fridge. Enjoy!
