Jon Snow is back!
Yes! The moment that we all have been waiting for since the end of the last season, when Jon Snow was killed by the Night’s Watch brothers, has finally arrived.
If you remember, along the road there were hints of possible resurrections like in the “Brotherhood without Banners” from Season 3, Thoros of Myr (a red priest) has shown the ability to resurrect the dead. He brought Beric Dondarrion back to life 6 times:
“I knelt beside his cold body and said the old words. Not because I believed in them, but he was my friend, and he was dead. And they were the only words I knew. And for the first time in my life, the Lord replied. Beric’s eyes opened. And I knew the truth. Our god is the one true god. And all men must serve him.”
Does his resurrection confirms who are Jon Snow’s real parents?
There are some theories in this regard. Like Jon’s mother was Ashara Dayne and his father was likely Eddard Stark. Or Wylla, the wet nurse at Starfall, could be another possible mother. But the most important one seems to be that in which Jon Snow is thought to be the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark and hints that this major theory is true have been placed all around season 5. And the beginning of the 6th season might confirm what many have been ruminating over since the start of the show.
So, why kill such an important figure was the question that many people asked themselves, including me. The ending of season 5 kept us all in suspense: To be or Not to be dead? 🙂
Now the question has been answered and the action is much enticing and it seems “It’s a massive season for Jon,” Harington tells in an interview. Our eyes and ears are on this show, especially since the plot directions are in the hands of HBO’s directors, at least until George R. R. Martin will complete the latest book in the Song of Ice and Fire series.
So, what will come next?
