Elie Saab is again in the front raw because this time I want to talk a little about his Couture collection that he presented in Paris, recently, at the Theatre National de Chaillot.
“The Promise of Spring” is the name of the collection and its inspiration came from the work of Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, a 19th century Dutch painter. And what a show! If you were there you would definitely get immersed in those ravishing gowns in delicate nuances of colors like pink, yellow, red, blue, not to mention white and black.
Simple but glamorous were the dresses living you with a sensation that you were simply floating. His signature embroideries and appliques ran over organza and tulle fabrics. And also not to mention the mesmerizing bridal gown with was exquisite.
This presentation was watched by Olga Kurylenko, the Bond girl, and also by actresses from across the world like Paz Vega of Spain, Clotilde Courau or Anne Marivin of France.
The Lebanese designer’s collections are always breathtaking so enjoy the show with the link below.
