New on my bathroom shelve: Tony Moly Red Appletox Honey Cream
Tony Moly, if you never heard of this brand by now (I haven’t, until just recently)then you should know is a South Korean cosmetics brand founded in 2006 which wants to revolutionize the skin, their own logo says “Skin Revolution”. The name Tony Moly means “putting style into packaging”, which they definitely do so. As you may see in the photos, the cream comes in an adorable red apple container. It’s so cute! I just love it! I’ve never seen such packaging in the rest of the international skin care products, except Korean.
As I said before, I have never heard of Tony Moly until a few months ago and I have never tried Korean skin care products until now. But I have read quite a few about them; really good things and they started to look promising so I gave it a try. I bought myself two products: this cream and a CC cream also from Tony Moly which I will speak about in another post. For now I will focus my attention on this yummy red apple.
As you open this delicious red apple the smell hits your nostrils, an irresistible perfume of real, fresh mouth-watering apples. If it is half as good as it smells than it was worth my money that was the thought that crossed my mind as I continued smelling the cream.
This Red Appletox Honey Cream has an interesting texture, like glue but as soon as it touches your face it quickly melts and gets absorbed by the skin, leaving your face with a sense of freshness. The brand says this cream enhances skin elasticity, calms and stimulates the metabolism of the skin cells and of course is a good moisturizer. I don’t know about the metabolism of the cells but I can say it really hydrates my skin and makes it lighter and smoother.
They say it contains apple extract, Manuka honey from New Zealand famous for its antibacterial properties, black honey which is rich in minerals and amino acids that nourish and moisturize the skin, propolis, an anti-oxidant and royal jelly which soothes the skin. The rest of the ingredients, the hole list I couldn’t find it.
I can’t say I see an important improvement but the fact is I didn’t use it for a long time, just 2 weeks. I’m pleased with it until now and I hope to see some miraculous results. An important fact for this cream I might add is that you don’t have to use it every day, only twice a week. Also the price is very good, around 12$.
Have you ever used Korean skin products and are you pleased with them? For my first acquaintance with these products I might say I’m delighted and I think I will try some more in the future.
