Every girl wants to be beautiful and forever young. And for those reason we spend a little fortune on beauty products that promise us perfect skin. But there isn’t such thing as perfect; although, there is such thing as cheap, affordable products that are very good for your skin. And those products can be found in your kitchen. If you can eat it you can definitely put it on your face or your entire body.
Full of nutrients, vitamins: B6, C, A, and minerals bananas are good not just for the health of your body but also for your face. You peel off a banana and simply put it on your face. It’s 75% water and will hydrate your skin and moisturize it. Leave it on for about 20 minutes then rinse with warm water. You can also mix it with other ingredients and get other facial masks or you can make your own scrub using 1 banana and 1 tbsp of sugar. Mix them good and voila, your very own homemade banana scrub. You can even rub the smashed banana under your eyes to reduce puffy eyes or apply the pulp on your cracked heels and they will become softer. There are lots of things you can do with bananas. Your hair can benefit form a treatment with this wonder fruit. There are endless combinations of ingredients but a simple hair mask is with banana and avocado for dry hair which you leave it for 30 minutes.
It’s a natural antibacterial and antiseptic that soothes and helps the skin. It cleans the pores and gives the skin glow. You can massage your face with honey with small circular movements to improve your circulation. Then rinse off with warm water. Use honey as a facial mask. Just put some on your face and leave it for 10 minutes and then rinse. It will hydrate your skin and also helps with wrinkles. In different combination with other ingredients you can use it as facial mask, hair mask, as a scrub, skin lotion, or even put it in your tub as Cleopatra did along with some milk end essential oil.
Whether is olive, coconut or sesame oil, don’t be shy and introduce them in your beauty routine. All three of them are good for the skin and also for the hair. Coconut oil can be used on dry skin as much as on oily skin with a start of acne (it has antimicrobial properties). Olive oil has been found by the Loyola University Health System to be so gentle that it is even appropriate for infant skin care. So don’t be afraid to try it, as a lotion after you get out of the shower, on your hands and cracked heels, definitely on your face as a cleanser and in different combination as a scrub and hair mask. Sesame oil is one of the most widely and commonly used products in Ayurveda. You can particularly use it for softening dry areas such as elbows and knees. Like the other oils it hydrates your skin and is also very good for your hair. It can even provide you with a little bit of sun protection.
They make a great hair moisturizer. Applied on your face they help with wrinkles and sagging skin. For a simple and very cheap facial you can put egg whites directly onto your skin. Leave them on your face until they dry completely and the wash with warm water. For your hair, you can rub an egg yolk on it and the cover it with a shower cap or a towel for about 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. This is for shiny and moisture hair.
Full of protein, calcium, and probiotics yogurt is certainly good for your skin. Applying it regularly on your face can lighten your skin. It can also shrink pores. Put plain yogurt on your face and leave it for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse with cool water. Then apply a moisturizer. Due to its acidic nature, yoghurt destroys various acne-causing bacteria so if you have this kind of problem apply it on your face with confidence. Yoghurt also fights off free radicals and contains anti-aging properties so use it simple or in different combinations with bananas or avocados at least 2 or 3 times a week. And, take into consideration that yogurt is good for your hair. Apply it plain on your hair as a natural conditioner. Make a smooth paste, coat the hair with it, rap the hair into a towel and leave it for 20 minutes. After, wash with shampoo and you will notice the difference. Likewise, you can use it if you have dandruff problems. Yoghurt contains anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, so massage your scalp with yogurt and rinse after 15-20 minutes.
